Dr. O’Connor attended Illinois Benedictine College in Lisle and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1979. He went on to attend the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago, receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1983. His surgical internship and orthopaedic residency were completed at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago in 1988. Dr. O’Connor has lived and practiced in Aurora since 1988.
