Born and raised in Aurora, Dr. Huberty began working in healthcare as a junior in high school when he took a job as an orderly at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from Illinois Benedictine College in 1969, he went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 1974. He served his surgical internship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Illinois Hospital in 1979. In addition to serving on and chairing many hospital committees, he has served as president of the medical staff at Provena Mercy Medical Center as well as president of the Kane County Medical Society. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Provena Health and has chaired that board’s governance and quality committees.
